Synopsis

The Blackening is an investigation into the trope of the Black character dying first in horror movies

An all-Black group of friends heads out to a cabin in the woods for a relaxing holiday. But when they are confronted by a masked killer everything changes. Demanding to know who is the Blackest in order to decide on who to kill first, the killer forces the group to rank themselves. The group must outsmart the killer with their own knowledge of key horror tropes to survive.
