If the past is any indication to go by, this role could be a career breakthrough for the actor, launching him to global stardom, just like it did for Christopher Reeve and Henry Cavill. But before taking on the role of one of the most popular superheroes in Hollywood history, Corenswet actually played the lead role in the series Hollywood. In Hollywood, Corenswet plays the role of Jack Castello, a WWII veteran who moves to Hollywood in hopes of becoming an actor. He also starred as Lili Reinhart’s love interest in the romantic drama Look Both Ways and as a projectionist in the indie-horror film Pearl.
Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane
Lois Lane is fiercely independent, quick-witted, and full of heart, a role fans already know Rachel Brosnahan is perfect for with her earlier performance as the sharp tongued and charismatic Mrs Maisel in Amazon’s hit series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. While Brosnahan might not have the stage to herself in Superman, fans can look forward to her character’s quick comebacks and verbal sparring at the newsroom with her boss, Perry White. In addition to her Emmy award-winning performance in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, you might also recognise Brosnahan from her role as Rachel Posner, a troubled sex worker in Netflix’s acclaimed political-thriller show, House of Cards. Originally she was only booked for two episodes, but her character became an instant fan favorite, earning her a regular spot on the show for four seasons and her first Emmy nomination.

He follows in the footsteps of iconic actors like Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey, each of whom left a lasting mark on the character. Hoult is one of the more easily recognisable actors in the ensemble, having landed his first Hollywood breakthrough in the 2002 film About a Boy at just 11 years old. Wendell Pierce as Perry White
From playing the iconic Detective Buck Moreland in The Wire to taking on another investigative role as the editor in chief of Daily Planet, where both Clark Kent, and Lois Lane work, Wendell Pierce’s latest casting feels like a natural and fitting transition.
